Elgin “Legionnaire 417” men’s Art Deco design wristwatch in two-tone 14K green and white gold fill, circa 1929.
This Elgin has a two-tone case with an embossed bezel and engraved case sides. It was priced at $28.50 in 1929. This example is in excellent condition with only a few specks of brassing to the highpoints of the bezel. Caseback is excellent and unengraved. The case measures 39mm long and 30mm wide. Refinished luminous dial is superb. Has new glass crystal. The watch is powered by its correct 7-jewel Elgin grade 485 manual wind movement, just serviced and running well.
