Attractive Hamilton “Cushion Form Engraved” men’s Art Deco design wristwatch in 14K white gold fill, circa 1928.
Priced to consumers at $52.00 in 1928, this is the final and most stylized version of this popular watch and has a flared and ornately engraved case body, as well as stunning high Art Deco stylized Southwestern thunderbird motif bezel engravings. Hamilton factory records indicate that 12,882 examples of the “Cushion Form Engraved” were produced in white gold fill. This example is in excellent condition with just a tiny amount of brassing in the bezel corners. Caseback is excellent and unengraved, with a few light dings. The case measures 32mm long and 29mm wide. Dial has been beautifully restored to its correct original appearance with a silver Butler finish and exploding Art Deco luminous numerals and hands. Has new glass crystal. This watch is powered by its original 17 jewel Hamilton grade 987 movement.
