Very rare Elgin “Captain Molyneux” ladies’ Art Deco design wristwatch in 14K white gold fill with green enamel, circa 1932.
One of the rarest and most desirable Elgin enamel watches, the “Captain Molyneux” has an asymmetrical sunray design inlaid with green enamel and a unique offset triangular dial. This is the ONLY green “Captain Molyneux” I have ever seen and is very rare. It is excellent condition with just a speck of two of brassing to the bezel corners. Original green enamel is superb and complete with just a few marks. Caseback is excellent and unengraved, with one faint ding. The case measures 30mm long and 17mm wide. Dial is excellent. Glass crystal is excellent. This watch is powered by its correct 7 jewel Elgin grade 488 movement.
