Rare Elgin “Madame Jenny” ladies’ Art Deco design wristwatch in 14K white gold fill with green enamel, circa 1933.

In the 1920s, no other watch manufacturer could match Elgin’s Art Deco designs for ladies’ wristwatches.  Elgin retained top designers of international prominence to create some fantastic designs.  This “Madame Jenny” has stylized zigzag and triangular patterns inlaid with green enamel.  This is only the third Jenny I have ever seen in green, it is rare in any color other than black.  It was priced to consumers at $35.00.  This example is in excellent condition with only a few specks of brassing to the bezel corners.  Enamel is excellent, with only one tiny speck of loss in the bottom triangle.  Caseback is excellent and unengraved, with a few tiny specks of wear.  The case measures 30mm long and 17mm wide.  Dial has been beautifully refinished to its correct original appearance with a silver Butler finish and black painted numerals.  Has new glass crystal.  This watch is powered by its correct 7 jewel Elgin grade 488 movement.
